Murad Acne Complex
Murad Acne Complex
The Murad Acne Complex is a three-step acne treatment which includes a cleanser, an acne cream and a hydrating lotion, and is suggested for use twice daily. The cleanser works to destroy surface bacteria; the acne cream penetrates the spores to remove excess dead skin cells and reduce blemishes; and the hydrating lotion moistens the skin and reduces acne symptoms such as dryness and irritation. The main ingredient in this complex is Hydrogen Peroxide.
Marketed as “the last acne treatment you’ll ever need,” the Murad Acne Complex is similar to many other three-part acne treatments. Such treatments aim to reduce prevalent acne while simultaneously eliminating the internal causes of acne, thereby preventing future outbreaks. However, there is nothing much in this complex that sets it apart from other products of a similar nature. Hydrogen Peroxide is a weak acid that is neither as effective as Benzoyl Peroxide nor as gentle as natural acne-fighting ingredients.
Furthermore, the online ordering process of this treatment does not seem entirely honest. The online price is $29.95, but by ordering at this low price you will automatically be enrolled into their “Home Delivery Program” which necessitates 60-day supply for the first 30-days and also a 60-day supply every 2 months. It seems that this is how Murad plans to become the last acne product you’ll ever need – it neither cures effectively nor allows customers a reasonable option to try other treatments. We find no reason to recommend this product.
